After BMW quits formula one, now Ferrari threatens to leave Formula One in 2010, unless plans for a voluntary £40 million budget cap are changed.
Ferrari has a dispute with the sport's governing body. the FIA proposed regulation changes to cost cap upon the terms.
According to officials "the changes violate the terms and conditions they signed in 2005 commiting themselves to the championship until the end of 2012."
When acepting to take part in the Formula One championship untl the end of 2012, Ferrari asked from the FIA and obtained a contractual commitment pursuant to which all Ferrari's rights and obligations will continue to apply.
F1 Management Chair Berine Ecclestone said that Ferrari and F1 are " perfect partners despite disagreements over the future of the sports."nEcclestone " played down a suggestion" by Mosley " that sports could survive without Ferrari" !!!!
